GUIDELINES TO PARENTS

  1. Parents and Guardians of students, having already signed admission forms and agreeing to observe the rules of the school, should understand that they cannot dictate to the school authorities on the matters of policy, on the condition of admission or continuance in school of any student.
  2. The school expects the co-operation of the parents to ensure that:
    1. The children come to school regularly and punctually, dressed neatly and correctly.
    2. The children bring to school their books and note - books as per the time-table which should be properly maintained.
  3. Parents are requested to ensure the cleanliness of their ward and their belongings and also counsel them to maintain it during the day.
  4. They are also expected to co-operate with the School authorities by taking an active and helpful interest in the activities of the school. In particular, they should entrust the Principal with the authority to correct, counsel and guide their children at her reasonable discretion.
  5. Children will not be allowed to buy eatables from any street vendor during school hours.
  6. During regular school hours, OUT PASSES will be issued only if it is a case of medical emergency or appointment with doctor.
  7. Parents are requested to see that the attendants who take their children to or from the school do not remain in the school premises longer than is necessary. They should come only at the appointed time.
  8. MEDICAL: In case of any accident or emergency during the school hours, parents will be informed at once, and First Aid will be administered by the concerned staff in the school infirmary. If there is a delay in the parents’ coming to the school, the child will be taken to the nearest hospital for the treatment and the bill will be forwarded to the parent.
  9. While the Management is always aware of safety precautions and ensures them, it is still a fact that in the best run houses and in the safest places, things can go wrong. It must be understood that parents/ guardians entrust their children/wards with the school staff at their own risk and the Management will, at any point, be held liable, in case of unavoidable, or unexplainable accidents arising from malafide behaviour of the students in its care. This applies not only to the school premises but also on the streets, picnics, camps, holiday excursions etc.
  10. If a student is likely to be absent due to illness or any other reason, for more than three days, the Principal must be informed through E-mail or mobile app.
  11. In case of an infectious disease, parents should report the fact to the Principal at once and should not send the student to class till the danger of infection has passed (This applies mainly to Chickenpox, Measles, Mumps, Whooping Cough, Conjunctivitis). Parents are requested to inform the school if the child gets fits or is allergic to any medication.
  12. Parents should not forget to provide their specimen signatures in the School Diary.
  13. When communicating with the Principal, Parents are requested to mention in their letters the name, admission number, the class and the section of their children.
  14. Parents are not allowed to meet their children or the teachers, during school hours without the permission of the Principal. Members of the Staff should be seen preferably in their non-teaching periods. An appointment with a member of the staff should be made before hand, with the permission of the Principal through e-mail or phone call in the office.
  15. As a policy the school does not allow any teacher to undertake extra private tuition. School will not be responsible for any such activities.
  16. Homework is defined as additional needed preparation in a given subject area. It encourages responsibility, gives practice in developing good work habits and affords opportunities for increasing self - direction and learning how to budget time wisely. The child should be encouraged to do the homework on his/her own.
  17. Parents are requested not to allow valuables to be brought to school. The school does not take responsibility for the above. Further, the school will not be held responsible in any way for the loss of any personal property. Children are not permitted to wear any jewellery in school. If they are found doing so, it will be confiscated and return to the parents only. (Wearing nail paint is not permitted in school). Colouring/ Streaking of hair or using hair gel/wearing mehndi in school is not permitted. Boys are supposed to keep their hair short & decent. Girls with hair longer than shoulder length are supposed to keep them neatly plaited without any styling.Fancy hair clips/ bands/ styling of hair is not allowed.
  18. Students are prohibited from bringing Mobile phones/Pen Drive/ Camera/ I- Pod or any other electronic gadgets to the school. If any student is found with any of the gadgets mentioned above in the school premises, it will be considered as a breach of Code of Conduct. The device will be confiscated and it will be handed over to the parent only, at the end of the session.
  19. Messages for teachers or students may be given to the School Office. Only in an emergency, a teacher or student will be called over the telephone during school hours.
  20. All lost articles found in the school premises will be placed in the > Lost and found Box.Students may claim these within the school hours from the school office. Please label all items belonging to your child, so that they may be returned. All articles not claimed are given to a charitable institution before the summer and winter holidays.
  21. All Letters/ correspondence addressed to the children are subject to scrutiny by the Principal.
  22. Parents and guardians are not permitted to walk into the class rooms or meet the teachers during class hours.
  23. Students are not allowed to receive visitors or to make phone calls during class hours. In case of an emergency the class teacher will contact the parents/guardians. Personal telephone numbers of the teachers will not be provided to the parents.
  24. Parents are requested to sign exercise notebooks, diary notes, worksheetsand all test notebooks.
  25. Students accompanying parents for Parent Teacher Meetings must come to school dressed in proper school uniform. Parents too are expected to be dressed appropriately.
  26. Whenever school authorities invite parents for meetings e.g. Class Counseling meetings, please ensure that you attend the meetings regularly and on time, in the interest of your ward.
  27. No student is allowed to commute to /from school in vehicles driven by themselves (except for bicycles). School does not take any responsibility of any private transport.
  28. In case of Grievances or Suggestions parents may write to the Principal through E-mail or Mobile app.
